Clipse to release mix-tape, clothes
Once upon a time Clipse planned on releasing an album in December. As it turns out, Clipse is a rap group so instead Till the Casket Drops won’t be out till March (maybe.) But being the swell chums that they are, Clipse will whet our appetite for their new one on December 1 when they release Road to Till the Casket Drops, a mix-tape previewing the new album. The mix-tape will be released exclusively on Complex.com and presumably will be better than whatever the hell it was Lil Wayne released last week (review forthcoming.)
Meanwhile, the boys had a big day today as they launched their new clothing line, Playcloths. The clothes seem nice enough, though I’m not sure I entirely “get” them. Maybe I’m getting old. Or maybe I’m just confused how Clipse, a group with some of the hardest, grittiest lyrics around, ended up with a fan-base made almost entirely of hipsters.
