Slim Shady is back, but the album won’t be out until early next year, as opposed to the rumored December release.

Eminem went live on his Sirius radio station, Shade 45, to announce that he plans to release Relapse soon. It is planned to be the middle part of Interscope/Aftermath’s “three-headed monster,” with 50 Cent’s Before I Self Destruct preceding it in December and Dr. Dre’s Detox (presumably) being released at some unannounced date in the future.

Eminem also revealed that Dre is handling most of the production on the album while Em focuses mostly on lyrics.

Finally…new music. Eminem played a little bit of a new song called “I Need a Relapse” on the show. You can download it here.
