Jay-Z has teamed up with Norwegian songwriting/production team Stargate to launch StarRoc. The new record label will be based from Jay’s Manhattan studio and will work to develop new talent through an all-encompassing approach that promotes touring and merchandise as well as record sales.

Not much else is known about the deal yet. Jay-Z does still plan to release The Blueprint 3, his final album for Def Jam, before the end of the year.
