LOL: New RNC chairman hopes to give party hip hop makeover!
Remember those Hip Hop Republican kids who kept popping up everywhere last fall? Well, Michael Steele apparently does. The new party chairman is making it his goal to help create a party that appeals to hip hop culture…or something.
“We want to convey that the modern day G.O.P looks like the conservative party that stands on principles,” Steele said. “But we want to apply them to urban-suburban hip hop settings.”
Unfortunately, Steele provided few clues on what exactly the hell this means. So for the moment our best guess is just going to have to be that the entire party is going to follow the model of the Hip Hop Republicans, whose definition of “hip hop” seems to be “black kids.”
He continued to say, “We need to uptick our image with everyone, including one-armed midgets,” which actually seems pretty offensive.
He also said the party’s message has been lost over the last eight years to a lot of people, including, “young people and moms of all shapes – soccer moms, hockey moms.”
Maybe after they are through addressing all the sports-themed moms they can figure out how they want to go about reaching out to unwed moms, welfare moms, drug-addicted moms, lesbian moms and teenage moms.
