Mos Def's new album turned into a t-shirt!
Be honest. If you are the kind of person who reads hip hop sites like this one you probably don’t spend a lot of money at the record store. That’s OK. It’s the 21st Century and we’re so over physical copies of albums. Besides, our consumption habits have inspired artists to find creative new ways to sell their products.
Well leave it to Mos Def to give us one of the most imaginative ideas yet. He is selling his fine new album, The Ecstatic, as a t-shirt. The front of the t-shirt is composed of the album’s Killer of Sheep-inspired artwork, the back features a tracklist, and a hang tag includes a code for a download of the music. Sweet.
In other news, The Ecstatic is a welcome return to form and we’ll be reviewing it soon.
